I can start to defy that theory with pretty stupid questions like... what was around the singularity before the Bang? there had to be something. Therefore, I think we gotta stop thinking about a 3d universe, there's no beginning and no end in my opinion.
Some could consider time a dimension, but I think time as we know it, is also a projection of the actual time dimension on the 4th dimension. For us it's sequential, but it may not be. Check out this video, it helps to elaborate on this thoughts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkxieS-6WuA
I'm on my phone so I can't watch the video and I doubt I'll get around to it, but are you trying to say time as we experience it is only part of what it actually is?
Yes, think that past, present and future could be all at once on one place, if you could see your self at all possible times, there'd be a weird mass that has you as a baby, a teen, a man, an old man, as dust. Now, what's really mind-bugling is to think that there could be yet another dimension, where there are many "times", therefore it's possible to have all possibilities, maybe quantum mechanics can helps us understand this and that's why matter behaves so weirdly (all possibilities at once), maybe at that level we can see those properties of time, of that 5th dimension.
That smells of perdestination...if everything is always existing, at all times, all at the same time, wouldn't that mean that nothing changes? It kind of contradicts the second law of thermodynamics about increasing entropy?

How so? I didn't pay too much attention in my astronomy class, but it seems like they did their homework?

I thought the universe was 4d, with time included.

And time is definitely the 4th dimension.

there could be infinite pre-destinations, and we keep jumping between each with every move we make
